Playing In the Sink With Daddy

One of Kaylea's favorite things to do lately is to play in the sink. She knows how to turn the water on and she thinks it is funny. Seriously, we have the "smiliest" baby - she does not always cooperate for pictures, but she is just a happy baby! Check out the pictures below of her playing with Jordy. Be sure to check out her face in the mirror, and more importantly, notice how much fun daddy is having!

Egg Hunting

While driving home from work the other day, I noticed a sign advertising an Easter Egg hunt in Sellersburg. It said, "Age 0 - 12." I thought it was funny. I told Jordy that we should take Kaylea, even if it was just to watch. I did not think Jordy would actually agree. We called Brittney and told her that she needed to bring Kaidyn. It turned out to be a beautiful day, so we all met up at the park. Kaylea and Daddy found 4 eggs!

Check out the picture below of Kaylea and the Easter Bunny. I held her hands and she walked me right over to him. However, when she got close, she changed her mind. She would not get her picture alone.

Sick

Jordy has been off on Spring Break this week. On my way home from work Tuesday he called me and told me that my baby girl was sick. She was running a high temperature. We monitored her throughout the evening. Tylenol was taking the fever down, so we did not take her to the doctor. When I came home, this is what they were doing. They were snuggled up in our bed - Kaylea, Daddy, and the Boo! This is one of the first times she has not been very excited to see me. She was content snuggled up with her daddy.

Her fever did not go away overnight, so Jordy and Millie took her to the doctor today. The sent her to the hospital for blood work (only because the machine at the office was broken). Although she still have a fever, we received good news from the doctor. The blood work came back the way they wanted. The doctor thinks it is just a viral infection that will run its course. I will tell you that our little monster loves her bed! I tried to bring her in to sleep with us last night and she would not go to sleep. She was just talking and singing. Even being sick, Kaylea is such a sweet baby. We just love her!

Wagon Ride

Kaylea went for her first wagon ride yesterday. Technically, it was not her first wagon ride, but it was her first ride in her own wagon. She really seemed to like it (even if Daddy just pulled her up and down the driveway).

It's Not Halloween, But I Love My Boo

I know it isn't Halloween, but Kaylea loves her Boo! It is so funny, because my mom bought this before she knew we were pregnant. I'm not sure if she had planned on giving it to Kaidyn or someone else, but she never did...and it's a good thing because Kaylea loves her Boo!

Easter Eggs

We gave Kaylea some Easter eggs to play with the other day. She had a blast trying to get them out of the bag. She won't be able to color eggs this year, but that is just around the corner.

Who Do I Look Like?

Kaylea is already 8 months old and we cannot decide who she looks like. Personally, I don't think she looks like either one of us. She has my dark eyes, but her skin tone is darker than both of us, her hair is lighter than mine, but it isn't red. Maybe in a few more months we will have a better idea!

Swimming

I have been talking about taking Kaylea to the YMCA to go swimming for some time now. We are planning to take "lessons" in April, so it was time. She made friends and had a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of her in the water, but I did get some in her cute suit. She was a little nervous at first. I'm not sure she has ever hugged me so tightly. However, she loosened up and tried to take everything in. Swimming must have wore her out - she came home and cuddled up with Mommy for a nap.

Our Baby Girl is 8 Months Old

I can't believe Kaylea has been here for 8 months. Sometimes it seems like she has been a part of our lives forever and other times I cannot believe she's already so big. I took these pictures the other day before Art came over to watch her. I always sing "Happy Birthday" on her "monthly birthdays." I'm sure she thinks I'm crazy.

Kaylea Has Hair

I couldn't resist taking these pictures after Kaylea got out of the bathtub last week. She is starting to get more hair and once in a while, I like to stick it straight up!

Kaylea's Friends

We feel very blessed to have the best friends and family. Kaylea has been spending her days with different people all week. My best friend Brittney has watched her, Brittney's Aunt Mimi has watched her, Trina has watched her, and Art has even watched her. I'm not really sure what we would have done if we didn't have such wonderful friends and family. It makes it a lot easier to go to work knowing that she is spending the day with some of the best people we know. THANK YOU ALL!

Kaylea Loves Aunt Shannan

Jordy's mom cooks lunch for us nearly every Sunday. For some reason Nana & Pop like to avoid pictures. However, Kaylea always gets to see Aunt Shannan. As you can see, Kaylea loves Aunt Shannan and Aunt Shannan loves Kaylea.

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess

Kaylea wore her Dr. Seuss shirt to celebrate his birthday, but more importantly, she has on her first real pair of shoes. They are so cute and she has actually been keeping them on.
