laundry basket or bed?

When I got home from work today, Kaylea decided that she wanted to take all of the dirty clothes out of her laundry hamper. She placed/threw them in the floor. Then she moved the basket over by her daddy, placed 2 of her blankets in the bottom and said, "bed." She tried to get in to lay down, but then she fell out of the basket. She's so silly!

chuck e. cheese

We went to Chuck E. Cheese tonight. When we first arrived, I started wondering if we had lost our minds. The line was out the door, and even though the rest of our party was at the front of the line and we were able to join them, we still had to wait for awhile. However, when we got in, we had a great time. We met some friends (Erin, Chris, & Lucas) for pizza and some fun. Chuck E. Cheese delivered. I asked if we could maybe meet up there without the kiddos. They had some new games and they were a lot of fun. The past few times we've gone, Kaylea will not ride in the rides, but tonight, Kaylea was happy to ride with Lucas. I can't wait to go back.

After Chuck E. Cheese,

this is what Kaylea did to her & daddy -

naked baby

We've noticed lately that Kaylea LOVES to be naked. When she gets out of the bath tub, she runs through the house like a maniac. She can be dead tired, but get her out of the tub naked and she goes wild! It's so funny and something I never want to forget. She always insists on getting on our bed and bouncing around. She then likes to stand on the leopard print chaise and dance and sing. I got a great video this weekend, but I don't think I can post it. We'll save it to show to her future husband ;)

daddy's little helper

I say, "daddy's little helper," because if cleaning gets done around here, it's because daddy does it. Kaylea must have been watching, because she went to the pantry the other day and got out the swiffer and started "mopping" the carpet. It makes me laugh. She loves to imitate what mommy & daddy do.

these boots were made for walking

My mom bought Kaylea a pair of frog boot for Christmas. She is just starting to like them and want to put them on. It's cute - she gets them on and has a little trouble walking in them, but she does not want them off. She and Mimi played with the boots earlier this week.

happy birthday teagan

We helped Teagan celebrate her 2nd birthday this past Monday. The Murray's had us over for pizza & cake. The Hamm's joined us as well. The kiddos had a great time playing together!

weekend

Jordy and I spent the weekend in Indy, so I don't have a lot of pictures to post. The two I have are from my phone, so they aren't very great. Nana & Pop watched Kaylea on Friday night, after Shannan picked her up from day care. Mimi spent the night at our house with Kaylea on Saturday night. Jordy and I were awake by 8am and home pretty early. We had a great time hanging out with her this afternoon. The weather was perfect for the first day of Spring.

pig tails

Kaylea's hair is finally long enough for pig tails! She's barely awake in this picture, but you get the idea. Isn't she such a cutie?

what a day, beautiful that is!

What a beautiful day! I had so much to do to get ready for Miss Jennifer's shower tomorrow, but I had to take some time and spend it outside with my littler monster. Her activity of choice - play in the street gutters with the rocks (I'm such a great mom for letting her)! We had a blast. Kaylea played with bubbles, the wagon, rode in her stroller, drove the Barbie car and walked the Doodle. Jordy started putting together her trampoline. Hopefully, it will be ready tomorrow so we can get in some bounce time. It is so nice to have warm weather - I.cannot.wait.for.Spring!

before we know it

I realize that Kaylea will be driving before we know it, but apparently she is ready now. These are some old pictures from my phone that I just found, but I remember the day very well. Kaylea insisted on playing in the car and I let her. She waved and told me Bye! Then, when I made her get out of the car, she went in the house. I walked into the bedroom and came back out and she had a play set of keys in her hand. She waved to me, said bye, and headed for the garage door. Too funny!

dinner club playdate

We went to dinner club on Friday. Amy & Art were supposed to host, but they decided that we should go out. We went to Habanana Blues in New Albany. I'll admit, I was skeptical...but it was pretty good. I even ordered something healthy (since we have started P90X). Since it was on a Friday night, we decided to bring our kids. They don't get to see each other too often. Check out the picture of Kaylea and Alton below. If you remember, the last few times she has been around Alton, she scream. This time, she screamed...and then touched his hand...and then patted his back...and then wanted to hold him.
Kaylea also got to play with Ryan & Melissa's daughter, Sam. Kaylea enjoyed hanging out with the kids and we actually fit in some adult conversation.

cake pops!

I'm throwing a baby shower for my friend, Jennifer, on Sunday. It's been a lot of fun to plan (that's my thing - my dream job = Party Planner)! Anyway, I have been baking all weekend. I made cake pops for the first time and they are fantastic (if I do say so myself). They are pina coloda cake, combined with cream cheese icing, dipped in white chocolate. Does it get any better than cake on a stick??? Kaylea didn't think so. Actually, she preferred the cupcake with icing.

nana & pop

Nana & Pop stopped by this afternoon. Kaylea had a great time seeing them. She was having a battle between her two flashlights - the cow and the dinosaur! I'm not sure who won. Kaylea then had a great time running from one person to another, pretending she was going to give kisses, but then turning away.
