We had plenty of time to kill after selecting the perfect pumpkins, so we decided to take some time on the swings. Kaylea loves to swing. She squeals with excitement. We didn't get any pictures, but she also loved looking and listening to the ducks. Sometimes she calls them ducks and sometimes she just says, "quack."

Coloring
Every time we go out to dinner with Kaylea, she is being handed crayons. She usually wants to eat them. Today, I bought her a pack of the larger crayons. She seemed to like them. In fact, the first major step was keeping them out of her mouth, followed by getting her to hold the crayon the right way. Below is a picture of her masterpiece!
Pumpkin Patch
We went to Huber's this afternoon to pick out a pumpkin for our little monster. I don't know what I was thinking, suggesting that we go to Huber's on a Sunday afternoon. Honestly, I was thinking that Halloween was far enough away that we would "beat the crowd." Ha! The wait at the restaurant was 90 minutes. At least we were smart enough to put in our name before taking the ride out to the pumpkin patch. Kaylea enjoyed the wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch. She also enjoyed looking at the pumpkins. She found one right off that she liked. I'm not completely sure that is the one we ended up getting, but she appeared to be happy with the one we took home.

Things I Want to Remember
Kaylea is such an amazing daughter and we love her so much. Everytime she hits a new milestone or does something neand everyw, I say it's my favorite stage. We are enjoying each and every stage as she grows.
I love watching her learn. I took her to "school" (day care) this morning. When were were walking in there was a cat walking on the concrete block wall. She spotted the cat and kept saying it repeatedly. This is currently one of her favorite words.
Also, on the way to school, she was trying to sing the ABC song. It is one of her favorite. I love when she swings. It is super sweet.
Sunday morning Kaylea spent a lot of time cuddling with me. I laid on the floor in the living room and she came and gave me all kinds of kisses. She also likes to get cheek to cheek and say, "AWWWW."
Kaylea is getting teeth. She now has 4 and there are 2-4 more coming in. This makes for some pretty poor nights of sleep (for her and us). She typically wakes up 1-2 times a night screaming. She really just wants her paci. Sometimes we give her Tylenol. It seems to help.
Since being in day care, Kaylea is on a regular schedule. She only takes one nap. It's usually around 11:30. She loves snacks - favorites include goldfish, crackers, cookies, and juice.
We haven't tackled eliminating the paci yet. We are thinking of holding off on that until after Christmas. I know this will be harder on us than it will be on her.

New Hair Style
Do you like Kaylea's new hair style? Her hair is getting just a little long in the front. I try to pull it out of her face. She won't let me clip it back with a bow, but if I can get her to sit still long enough, I can get a pony tail holder around it. Nana & Pop came over tonite (as always, they are mysteriously absent from the pictures). We had dinner and took Kaylea for a ride in her wagon. She got out her Barbie car and actually rode on it a for a few short seconds!
Daddy Loves Kaylea
Blankie X 2
Kaylea loves her blanket - make that blankets! She sees it and squeals - she calls it a binkie or kiki. It is so sweet. Every Friday they are sent home from day care and I wash them. On this particular day they were just out of the dryer. She loves to cuddle with her blankets, but she is sometimes willing to share.
Bye Bye Bottles
I cannot believe I forgot to post this. Kaylea has been bottle free since the beginning of September. She wasn't quite ready at a year, but it didn't take long for her to give them up. She always called bottles, "coke." While she has give up the bottle, she picks up several items that looks like bottles and says, "coke" over and over.

Almost 30
We started my birthday week celebration by having dinner at Cheddar's with family and friends. Kaylea was excellent and had a great time. We let her play with her food. I think our family and friends thought we were crazy, but I didn't see anything wrong with it. She can be cleaned up! I had a great time and believe it or not, I'm not really dreading turning 30!
