columbus day 2012

We've been in Lafayette for just over a year now and it finally feels like home. We know how to get around, we have friends, Kaylea has friends, and my mom is here. After a weekend visiting our old home, I actually look forward to getting back. On Sunday night, I went for a crafting night with some ladies I know. I finished a busy bag project (separate post later) and worked on a fall wreath. I was trying to decide what to do with Kaylea on Columbus Day since Jordy had to work and we couldn't be home all day.
I ended up taking her to school in the morning for a few hours. It was letter "e" day, so I wanted her to get the preschool part of the day. I picked her up after lunch and we stopped by the Post Office. We worked some carriers and clerks and I wanted to see what was going on. Kaylea likes going to work. She says that everyone talks to her. She had to sit at my desk and work (I forgot to bring in my camera).
Next, we headed to Owen's house to play. Jen had the ingredients for making cupcakes, so that's what they did. All in all, they did a decent job sharing the tasks and they both enjoyed eating the cupcakes. They played and we talked.
Finally, we enjoyed Moe's Monday and a trip to the mall!
