We have a pretty laid back weekend. Friday night, Jordy and I went and look at a house in Wolf Lake. Kaylea didn’t want to go, so she Nana came over to play with her. We were able to grab dinner at the New Albanian. We were not impressed. We also caught a Kona Ice Truck at New Albany High School for the Relay for Life event. We weren’t gone long before heading back home to play with Kaylea.
Kaylea had a big day Saturday. Kaidyn came over to play in the morning. They played dress up. It was funny watching two girls play together (we have a lot of friends with boys). We went to McDonald’s and then headed to the park. Kaylea had a lot of fun. I love this age where my child is so independent, but yet, she still needs me.
We went to church on Saturday. Kaylea did not want to go, but she ended up having a blast and keeps asking me when we get to go back. I thought maybe they just played in the room, but she has been asking a lot of questions about Jesus, so they must have taught them, too. I’m just glad she likes it. We need to attend and this makes it so much easier to go. After church, we invited the Murray’s over for dinner and playtime. Kaylea was tired, so she had a few meltdowns, but all in all, they had a good time. It was nice to get some adult conversation in, but still spend time with the kids.
Sunday was very laid back – when we woke up, we actually didn’t have any plans (very unusual in our house). Jordy went to the gym and Kaylea and I headed to the park. Kaylea and I were there so long, Jordy ended up joining us after he showered. We had lunch at home. I went for a pedicure and then met up with Kaylea & Jordy at Nana’s house. Kaylea played a lot with Shannan. We left for dinner at Tumbleweed before looking at another house. I asked the server to bring all of Kaylea’s ingredients on the side so she could make her own taco. She was SO EXCITED! I think she ate better, too. She kept asking when we could go back to Tumbleweed (in the past, she doesn’t like going there). We ended the night looking at a house. It was gorgeous. I’m still not sure if it is exactly what we want, but we’ll see. We meet with a builder on Wednesday to get additional information. When we came home, Kaylea played at Mimi’s for about an hour. She was pretty exhausted and actually went to bed early (for this girl). Jordy and I had a little time to relax together before getting some sleep ourselves. Nothing too extravagant, but it was a pretty perfect weekend!
