Kaylea had her 18 month well check today and it's safe to say she's one healthy little lady. She is developmentally on track and growing like she should. We took her to McDonalds this morning for "cakes." It was my way of apologizing for the upcoming shots. As you can see, she thinks she's a big girl. She wants to eat on her own and she didn't want a high chair. We got to the doctor's office at 10 am and we were back there quickly. Kaylea was pretty good. She weighed 22 pounds and 4.5 ounces (20th percentile) and she was 32 inches long (60th percentile). We were prepared for the worst, as I have been told this appointment is BAD. However, we were pleasantly shocked. Kaylea cried a little when the doctor listended to her heartbeat. Then came the shot! Mom came prepared. Kaylea got her shot, cried, and I handed her a chocolate chip cookie. The tears were turned off and she was a happy girl. It's hard to believe she's already been a part of our lives for 18 months.

Wow.....18 months already! She's growing up fast. I will have to remember the cookie thing for Lucas. He goes for his wellness check next week and he has to get shots. Poor guy I think he has to get 3 shots for school.
It neat to see how Lucas and Kaylea do the same things. Lucas wants to sit in regular chairs now too.
