I can't believe how quickly time passes with a little girl. It's hard to believe she is already 18 months old, but she is. Here are some things we want to remember about this age -
- You repeat everything, and everyone comments on it. It doesn't matter what we say, you try to repeat it. I call you a mocking bird.
- You are saying 2-3 word sentences such as, "where did it go," "I'll get it," and "What's that?"
- You have at least 12 teeth (it's difficult to tell because you won't let me in there to see).
- You love books - sometimes you read them to us and sometimes we read them to you.
- We cannot get you to eat table food. You will eat some things, but you are still caught up on baby food.
- You love cats, even though we don't have one anymore.
- You love the doodle. When we go somewhere and she is not there, you are often looking for her.
- You have recently started not needing as much sleep and are waking up way too early. You usually go to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and are awake by 6:00 or 6:30.
- You take 1 nap a day (about 2 hours).
- You love to play!
- You love your daycare. You are happy to see us when we pick you up, but you are always smiling and having a good time when we get there.
- Your favorite songs - twinkle twinkle, row your boat, itsy bitsy spider, ring around the rosey.
- Your favorite shows - Sponge Bob, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Timmy Time
- Your favorite books - anything with picture of animals or food
- Your favorite toys - playhouse, grill & kitchen, ball pit
- Your favorite food/snacks - cakes (sometime you wake up chanting cakes, cakes, cake), cookie, grilled cheese, mac & cheese, and oatmeal. I told your dad the other day that I think food is always on your mind. Out of the blue you will just start saying cookies.
- We are amazed by how smart you are. You keep us on our toes and we can't wait to see how much you grow by your next half birthday.
