Thanksgiving 2013

I started Thanksgiving morning by participating in the Fast Fred run in New Albany.  It was my first one.  We ran 5 miles - I think it was my personal best at 48:14.  It was a great way to start the day.

What was supposed to be a small Thanksgiving, turned out to be one of our largest ever.  Our friends, the Zuercher family, came down from West Lafayette to celebrate with us.  We were having withdraws having not seen them since September.  My mom kept inviting people and then I invited people and it grew to 17 people!  My mom cooked most of the food, but I helped her out by making a few things I am capable of cooking and providing the set-up and things went smoothly.

After a 2 hour break, we decided to try out some brown Thursday shopping - we hit a few stores.  I really wanted to get a TV, but they sold out before we got there, so I just ended up with a few clothing items instead.  The guys watched the kids, so it was just me, my mom, and Jen.  We stayed out until about 10:30.  It was awesome, but I was exhausted when we got home.
